Epithelium 26 ® EPITACT silicone gel plate

This material is the subject of a patent: “The Substitute for plantar padding”. It reproduces the mechanical properties (viscoelastic) of healthy human plantar padding.

  • Its thickness of 2.2 mm is sufficient to distribute loads effectively without creating instabilities.
  • Its long lifespan allows integration into orthoses (several months).
  • Low loss of thickness and mechanical characteristics over time compared to foam.
  • Covered with fabric on both sides, Epithelium 26 ® is easy to use (cutting with scissors, Neoprene ® bonding or heat-sealing).

DESCRIPTION
Plate made of a 2.2 mm thick pressure-distributing silicone gel embedded between two polyamide/elastane fabrics.

USE
Pressure distributing material to be integrated into plantar orthoses (does not sand).

BENEFITS
EPITHELIUM 26® plates are biocompatible non-adhesive silicone gel devices double bonded to a fabric. They are soft and elastic. EPITHELIUM 26® is a resistant gel, which helps distribute plantar pressure mainly under the forefoot.
This silicone gel does not lose its mechanical properties over time.

IMPLEMENTATION
- Cut the module into the desired shape by beveling the edges using scissors.
- Glue it to the desired area of ​​your foot orthosis with neoprene glue or by heat-sealing on resin.
- Apply your covering to the sole.

COMPOSITION
84% silicone, 16% polyamide/elastane fabric.

INTERVIEW
The material is machine washable at 30°C.
